Actress and entrepreneur Selena Gomez, aged thirty-three, presented a radiant and elegant appearance as she attended the 2025 Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening. The event, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, gathered notable guests in support of youth mental health initiatives worldwide.

Ms. Gomez—who recently celebrated one month of marriage to music producer Benny Blanco—arrived at the venue in a fitted purple minidress with thin straps and draped fabric that extended gracefully to the floor. She complemented the ensemble with matching pumps, silver earrings, and a statement ring, while her softly curled, shoulder-length hair and understated makeup lent a polished, natural finish to her look.

The Only Murders in the Building star was seen engaging warmly with Elyse Cohen, President of the Rare Impact Fund, which Ms. Gomez established in 2020. According to the organization’s website, the annual benefit is designed to “raise awareness and funds in support of youth mental health globally.”

In a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter, Ms. Gomez remarked:

“This night is a celebration of how far we’ve come and a powerful reminder of how much more we can do together. I’m incredibly grateful to Jimmy and The Marias for joining me in shining a light on youth mental health. Their support means the world—not just to me, but to millions of young people this work touches around the globe.”

However, Ms. Gomez’s appearance followed recent criticism from a model allegedly affiliated with her Rare Beauty brand, who accused the singer of making “degrading” remarks during a keynote address at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C.

    During her speech, Gomez stated:

“We don’t use models. We use people who I have felt could be your best friend. I want something real.”

While the comments appeared to emphasize authenticity and inclusivity, a model who claimed to have worked with Rare Beauty since 2024 told The U.S. Sun that the statement left her feeling “degraded and embarrassed.” The unnamed model alleged:

“I was already having a bad day, and then I saw that video of her saying I’m not even a real model. I thought this would be a big break for me, and to be told by the founder of the company that I look up to that I am not ‘real’ at my job—it’s degrading and mortifying.”

The model further stated she had never met Ms. Gomez personally and expressed hope that the star would “choose her words more wisely” in future public remarks.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Ms. Gomez for comment, though the model’s identity could not be verified.

Ms. Gomez founded Rare Beauty in 2019, officially launching the brand in North America the following year. The company quickly achieved commercial success—Bloomberg reported in 2022 that sales of the brand’s blush line alone exceeded $70 million. Rare Beauty continues to promote a mission of self-acceptance and authenticity, with Gomez stating on the company’s website:

“Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I’ve stopped trying to be perfect—I just want to be me.”#newsafro_
