President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians, particularly residents of Borno State, not to succumb to fear following a recent terrorist attack on the Ngoshe community in Gwoza.

The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected members of Boko Haram, led to the loss of several lives and the abduction of residents, causing panic in the area.

In a statement issued by the presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed deep condolences to the families of victims affected by the assault. He described the incident as a “heartless attack on innocent citizens.”

Tinubu commended the Nigerian military for its swift response, noting that security forces were able to neutralise several terrorists and force others to retreat. He also directed security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue those abducted during the attack and strengthen measures to protect civilians in the North-East.

The President further assured Nigerians that the Federal Government remains committed to defeating terrorism and restoring lasting peace to affected communities.
