Singer and global pop icon Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have reportedly continued to maintain regular communication following the public disclosure of their romantic relationship.
According to a report published by The Sun, the 40-year-old artist and the 53-year-old ex-premier are said to be in “constant contact,” frequently engaging in FaceTime calls and messages while managing their respective professional commitments.
The report further alleges that the relationship between Perry and Trudeau began earlier in the summer, with the pair having been quietly dating prior to their first public appearance together. Despite Perry’s ongoing world tour, sources claim the two have maintained consistent communication throughout.
Photographs obtained by DailyMail.com appear to show the couple sharing affectionate moments aboard Perry’s yacht, Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, in late September. Witnesses described the two as appearing deeply affectionate, with onlookers observing gestures of intimacy during the private outing.
The pair were first linked in July, when they were seen dining together in Montreal and later walking through a park. Trudeau was subsequently spotted among the audience at one of Perry’s concerts in Canada.
Perry’s new relationship follows her recent separation from actor Orlando Bloom, 48, with whom she shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy. The former couple had been together for nearly a decade, became engaged in 2019, and parted ways earlier this year. Prior to Bloom, Perry was married to comedian Russell Brand, with their marriage ending in 2011 after 14 months.
Trudeau, for his part, finalized his divorce in 2023, ending an 18-year marriage to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, with whom he shares three children. He subsequently stepped down from his role as Prime Minister in January.
At present, Perry is continuing the European leg of her “Lifetimes Tour”, promoting her seventh studio album, 143, while reportedly balancing her growing relationship with the former Canadian leader.
