Seyi Shay Open and Ready to Reconcile with Tiwa Savage

Singer and songwriter Seyi Shay has hinted at the possibility of reconciling with fellow music star Tiwa Savage, years after their highly publicized feud made headlines in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

In a recent interview, the Right Now crooner reflected on their past differences, expressing that time and maturity have brought her a sense of peace and openness toward rebuilding bridges.

“Life is too short to hold on to grudges,” Seyi Shay said. “People grow, situations change, and sometimes you just need to let things go. I’m very open to reconciliation if it happens naturally. There’s no bad blood.”

The two artists famously clashed in 2021 after a heated confrontation at a Lagos salon went viral, drawing widespread attention across social media and sparking conversations about rivalry among female artists in Nigeria.

However, Seyi Shay, who has since embraced motherhood and new artistic directions, said she has gained a broader perspective on life and relationships.

“Motherhood has softened me in many ways. It’s made me more patient, more understanding. I’ve learned that peace of mind is everything, and forgiveness is a part of that,” she added.

Seyi Shay also praised Tiwa Savage’s continued success in the industry, describing her as a “powerhouse and inspiration to many.”

“I respect Tiwa’s work ethic and what she’s achieved. She’s an incredible artist. There’s space for all of us to win,” she said.

The singer, who recently returned to the music scene with new projects, emphasized that her focus now is on creating meaningful music and fostering unity among women in the entertainment industry.

“I’m at a stage where I just want to make good music, support my peers, and see everyone shine. That’s what really matters,” she concluded.#newsafro_
