Sean “Diddy” Combs, aged 55, is reportedly facing stringent post-incarceration restrictions following his four-year federal prison sentence, as revealed in court documents obtained by the Daily Mail. The documents detail the specific conditions that will govern his supervised release, expected to commence upon completion of his sentence in late 2028 or early 2029.
According to filings submitted on Wednesday, Combs will remain under federal supervision for five years after his release. As part of his probationary terms, the music mogul—formerly known for his opulent lifestyle—must adhere to a series of strict behavioral, occupational, and monitoring requirements.
These include mandatory meetings with a probation officer, drug testing within 15 days of release and periodically thereafter, and participation in outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment programs. He is also required to enroll in a domestic violence prevention program approved by the probation department.
The conditions further authorize unannounced visits from his probation officer, who retains the right to inspect Combs’ residence and conduct searches of his person, vehicle, electronic devices, or property upon reasonable suspicion of a violation. Combs must also reside only at an address approved by federal supervision authorities, maintain legitimate employment of no less than 30 hours per week, and avoid any contact with individuals engaged in criminal activity.
In compliance with federal law, Combs is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms, ammunition, or any dangerous weapon during the period of his supervised release.
The rapper, whose fortune is currently estimated at approximately $400 million, has been attempting to liquidate assets, including his $61.5 million Beverly Hills mansion, which was raided by federal agents in early 2024. Despite his incarceration, reports indicate that Combs has refused to lower the property’s asking price.
Combs’ legal representatives have also filed a formal request for him to serve his term at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal correctional institution in New Jersey, citing access to the Residential Drug Abuse Treatment Program (RDAP) and other rehabilitative opportunities as justification.
The application, addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian, follows Combs’ conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution in July 2024.
