Veteran actor John Stamos, 62, drew considerable attention on Tuesday after posting a humorously risqué tribute in honor of fellow actor Glen Powell’s 37th birthday.
Taking to social media, Stamos celebrated their friendship by sharing a series of partially nude throwback photos from the set of Scream Queens, the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk horror-comedy series in which both appeared during its second and final season (2015–2016).
“Happy Birthday @glenpowell, the man who’s seen me naked more times than I’d like to admit,” Stamos captioned the post, adding, “Love you, buddy! Steam room date soon? xo JS.”
The accompanying images included several behind-the-scenes moments featuring the two actors humorously posed in various states of undress. In one photo, the pair appeared to walk nude across a film lot — with Powell strategically covering himself with a skateboard, while Stamos used blue shopping bags for modesty. Another still showed the duo in a sauna, both shirtless, and a black-and-white image depicted Powell mid-workout.
A third photograph introduced fellow Scream Queens co-star Taylor Lautner, 33, in a locker-room scene. Though this time the trio appeared clothed, the image played on the same tongue-in-cheek theme that characterized the post.
Powell originally joined Scream Queens in its first season before returning in a recurring role alongside Stamos and Lautner in Season 2, which shifted the series’ setting from a college sorority to a hospital plagued by a new killer.
Since his breakout role on Scream Queens, Powell’s career has soared — with standout performances in Everybody Wants Some!! and Hidden Figures (both 2016), the Netflix hit Set It Up (2018), and the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick (2022). His subsequent romantic comedy Anyone But You (2023) and the 2024 disaster film Twisters further cemented his status as one of Hollywood’s leading men.#newsafro_
