Jennifer Lopez received heartfelt support from her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme Muñiz, as they joined her on the red carpet for the Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere in New York City on Monday evening — a special occasion that also reunited the 56-year-old actress with her former husband, Ben Affleck.
Lopez shares the twins with her ex-husband, singer Marc Anthony, 57. Affleck, 53, attended the event as a producer of the forthcoming movie musical through his company, Artists Equity.
For the premiere, Max sported wide-leg khaki trousers, a burgundy sweater vest, and a navy, brown, and cream track jacket, accessorized with aviator glasses and brown loafers. Emme complemented her brother’s style in black velvet pants paired with a cranberry-toned velvet blazer.
Despite having filed for divorce from Affleck on what would have been their two-year wedding anniversary in August 2024, Lopez and Affleck appeared relaxed and affectionate as they posed for photographs together.
Affleck, who shares three children — Violet, 19; Fin, 16; and Samuel, 13 — with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, has maintained an amicable relationship with Lopez since their split. Their blended family remains close, with both stars continuing to prioritize family unity.
In an interview earlier this year, Affleck praised Lopez’s relationship with his children, calling her “spectacular” and “an enormously important, tremendous person with a lot of integrity.” He added, “I love her kids. They’re wonderful. The relationships you can have with children like that — it’s the joy of my life.”
Lopez stars in Kiss of the Spider Woman as Aurora, a fictional muse conjured by a jailed hairdresser, Luis Molina. The musical adaptation — also featuring Tonatiuh and Diego Luna — is based on the 1993 Broadway production and Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel of the same name.
In a recent interview on CBS Sunday Morning, Lopez credited Affleck and his production company for helping bring the project to fruition. “The movie wouldn’t have been made if it weren’t for him and Artists Equity,” she said. “I told him this was the role I was born to play, and he helped make it happen.”
Directed by Bill Condon with a production budget of $30 million, Kiss of the Spider Woman is scheduled for release on October 10.#newsafro_
