Nearly three months after announcing their engagement, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen enjoying a rare date night in New York City on Wednesday evening.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner, 35, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, were photographed arriving hand-in-hand at Ralph Lauren’s exclusive Polo Bar, escorted by their security team through a crowd of fans and photographers.
Swift exuded effortless sophistication in gray wide-legged trousers paired with a black sweater and matching heels. She accessorized with a Dior handbag and a sleek black leather belt featuring a silver buckle. The Anti-Hero singer wore her sandy blonde hair loose and opted for a subtle makeup look, noticeably forgoing her signature red lipstick.
Kelce, towering over his fiancée, kept things casual in green trousers, a black sweatshirt, and brown suede sneakers. The couple, who became engaged in August after less than two years of dating, appeared relaxed and affectionate throughout the evening.
Although Swift did not display her engagement ring, she showcased elegant jewelry on her right hand while making her way into the restaurant.
Their evening out followed Swift’s recent girls’ night with longtime friend Gigi Hadid at the exclusive Zero Bond club earlier in the week.
The pair’s latest public appearance comes amid renewed media chatter surrounding Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, who appeared to throw subtle shade at the couple over Halloween weekend. Nicole dressed as Toni Braxton from the singer’s 2000 music video He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me, lip-syncing to lyrics such as, “Did you know about us back then? Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?” and “He wasn’t man enough for me.”
Fans quickly interpreted the costume as a dig at Swift and Kelce’s relationship, with one commenter calling it “the perfect costume + song” and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John praising it as “the level of petty, slayage and pure decimation that needs to be studied.”
Nicole’s post arrived shortly after speculation that Swift had alluded to her in the lyrics of her new song Opalite, a track the singer confirmed was inspired by Kelce. Lines such as “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose” were interpreted by fans as a veiled reference to Kelce’s past remarks about Nicole.
In one resurfaced video, Kelce was heard chiding Nicole at dinner, saying, “Oh my God, get off your phone… You’re not even drinking your wine anymore—can we go?”
