Strictly Come Dancing contestant and West End actress Amber Davies received a visit from her boyfriend, Ben Joyce, at her North London rehearsal studio on Monday — just days after photographs surfaced showing her professional dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, affectionately kissing her on the forehead.
According to The Sun, Joyce was seen arriving at the rehearsal venue with a large suitcase and accompanied by the couple’s dog, Oreo. An onlooker reportedly remarked that while Joyce appeared somewhat pensive, he seemed unbothered by recent media speculation, suggesting he was merely stopping by to support his partner.
The visit follows a wave of attention surrounding Davies and Kuzmin’s close on-screen chemistry. Sources close to the actress, however, dismissed any suggestion that she had fallen prey to the so-called “Strictly curse,” describing such claims as baseless.
Davies herself has reiterated that her relationship with Joyce remains unaffected by the rumours. Speaking to The Sun, she said:
“The only good thing is Ben is not a****d. So I feel like I can brush it off as it is not affecting us in any way, which is nice. I mean, he is horizontal Ben.”
She further revealed that she maintains a friendly relationship with Kuzmin’s girlfriend, Lauren Jaine, adding:
“I love Lauren, Nikita’s girlfriend, so much. I text her all the time. All day, every day. Lauren spends more time with me than her fella. She actually came into my dressing room before she went to see Nikita. I’ve stolen her.”
An insider also told Daily Mail that Davies remains focused on her performances and untroubled by the gossip:
“It’s ridiculous for anyone to believe there’s anything going on between Amber and Nikita. The pictures didn’t affect them at all because they know the truth. Amber was unfazed by it.”
Kuzmin, who has been in a long-term relationship with Lauren Jaine, was photographed kissing Davies on the head last Friday after the pair had spent more than eight hours rehearsing their Cha Cha Cha routine.
Despite the attention, Davies reportedly remains optimistic and grounded about her Strictly journey, describing herself as “grateful” for the support she continues to receive from both fans and the theater community.#newsafro_
