The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has strongly condemned a reported case of sexual violence in Ozoro, calling for immediate investigation and swift justice for the victim.

In a statement, the ministry described the incident as deeply disturbing and unacceptable, stressing that such acts violate the rights and dignity of women and girls.

Officials urged relevant authorities, including law enforcement agencies, to act promptly, ensure that those responsible are apprehended and prosecuted, and guarantee adequate support and protection for the victim.

The ministry also reiterated its commitment to ending gender-based violence across the country, emphasizing the need for stronger community awareness, reporting mechanisms, and legal enforcement.

It called on members of the public to speak up against abuse, support survivors, and cooperate with authorities to ensure that justice is served.

Stakeholders say the development highlights the urgent need for sustained efforts to combat sexual violence and protect vulnerable groups within society.
