Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has announced the acquisition of a new mansion, a development that comes amid reports of marital discord with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a post shared via her official Instagram account on Sunday, Daniels published photographs and video footage of the property, accompanied by the caption: “In my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.”
The post, which has since attracted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and well-wishers, follows days of speculation regarding the state of her six-year marriage to the senator.
On October 18, The PUNCH reported that a video had surfaced online showing the actress visibly distressed outside her Abuja residence. In the clip, she was heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”
Senator Nwoko, in a swift response, denied the allegations of domestic abuse, describing them as unfounded. He, however, alleged that his wife was contending with substance dependency issues.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” the lawmaker stated.
He further disclosed that he had made arrangements for his wife’s continued rehabilitation, either in Abuja or in Jordan, in a controlled environment devoid of access to drugs or other substances.
The development has since generated widespread reactions across social media, with observers divided over the couple’s public exchange and its implications for their marriage.#newsafro_
