Billionaire entrepreneur Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has disclosed his intention to withdraw from active business engagement within the next decade, indicating his plan to retire at the age of 60.

In an interview with content creator one jobless boy, which was shared via Instagram and referenced by PUNCH Online on Saturday, the 50-year-old businessman outlined his retirement vision — one centered on global travel, leisure, and providing his wife with the finest experiences that life can offer.

According to him, his current business undertakings are strategically aligned toward legacy building and the establishment of structures that ensure financial independence for his children.

“I’ll retire in the next 10 years, when I’m 60. I’ll travel the world, and I’ll give my wife the best that life has to offer. The idea is for these kids to become independent and live their own lives. No more work,” he stated.

Mr. Iyiegbu, renowned for his luxurious lifestyle and philanthropic initiatives, explained that his demanding business schedule and extensive travels form part of a deliberate financial succession plan designed to secure a sustainable, stress-free future.

He underscored the necessity of “working smart” and developing systems that can generate wealth autonomously, without his continuous participation.

“One day, this body will get weak. So that’s why it’s important to position things that will work for you in the next 10 years. If you see me in a jet, at a meeting, or at an event, it’s all part of the plan,” he added.#newsafro_
